Permanent capping of 2 landfill cells and construction of 2 new cells. Capping: 20,000 m² regulation, 20,000 m² gas geocomposite, 20,000 m² LLDPE liner, 20,000 m² drainage geocomposite, 25,000 m³ peat, HDPE gas & leachate networks. Cell construction: 80,000 m³ rock excavation, 25,000 m³ embankment, 19,000 m³ engineered clay, 20,000 m² HDPE liner, 20,000 m³ geotextile, 11,000 m³ leachate stone, HDPE collection & M&E systems.

Ireland: Coolcashlagh Landfill
Construction of 35,000 m² permanent cap at Coolcashlagh Landfill, Killarney, Co. Kerry. Works comprised earthworks re-profiling (16,000 m³), gas-collection network with 13 vertical wells, 35,000 m² gas geocomposite, 35,000 m² 1 mm LLDPE welded liner, 35,000 m² drainage geocomposite, 25,000 m³ Class 2 cap material, cap-drainage pipe network & outfall structures, plus 4,000 m³ topsoil.

- Re-grading existing waste to create sloped batters and drainage gradients.
- Filling 900 m of leachate cut-off drains with drainage stone.

- Installing 42,000 m² geo-composite surface-water collection layer.
- Import & placement of 36,000 m³ sub-soil capping layer.
