We have extensive experience in specialist sectors across both the private and public sectors, including commercial, education (primary, post-primary and third-level), healthcare, mixed-use, retail, refurbishment, town-centre / urban-development projects successfully completed throughout Ireland. As an organisation we have also benefited from the diverse experiences gained by our Senior Project Managers in the food & beverage, telecommunications and management-consultancy industries in Ireland and abroad.

Design Consultant / Contractor Procurement & Management

With extensive experience in the procurement and management of design teams, specialists, main contractors and specialist nominated sub-contractors on both private and public-works projects, PNSD Group Projects is often appointed by private and public clients to advise and manage the procurement process for the selection of Main Contractors and/or Design Consultants.

We have accumulated vast experience in our role as Employer’s Representative and Contract Administrator on a number of Public Works Projects executed under the New Forms of Public Works Contracts for Building Works Designed by the Contractor or the Employer. We are vastly experienced and suitably qualified in the management of Public Works projects, with particular emphasis on the nuances of the New Forms of Public Works Contracts.

Management

We chair all Client, Design-Team, Specialist Design-Coordination, Construction Project-Progress, Cost and Programme Meetings and issue timely minutes for all, in addition to pursuing all action items in order to maintain project objectives.

Our management philosophy to “get things done”, achieved by direct “hands-on” involvement by our Directors and Project Managers, is a cornerstone of the successful project deliveries since our inception in 1998.

PNSD Group Projects’ role as Client Project Manager, Employer’s Representative and/or Contract Administrator on public or private projects necessitates a thorough working knowledge of project-scheduling programmes and all associated specialist software required to initialise detailed Gantt Charts.

Our role in project programming usually begins with the drafting of a Master Programme for discussion and subsequent agreement with the Client. Thereafter, PNSD Projects issues the agreed Master Programme to the Main Contractor and all relevant Design Consultants as the basis for both the Contract Programme and the Main Contractor’s Initial Construction Programme.

PNSD Group Projects adopts a hands-on approach to the co-ordination, control and active management of a project-specific programme, monitoring day-to-day progress of critical and milestone activities and regularly reporting project progress at a high level to the Client.

Specification Drafting

We have extensive experience in developing project specifications from initial client brief right up to the issuing of tender documents. Our success in managing and co-ordinating construction projects under the New Forms of Public Works Contracts is testament to the quality of the Works Requirements we draft.

Design Consultants / Main-Contract Management

We actively manage both Main Contractors and Design Consultants, conducting tender competitions and working closely with Clients to ensure the right team is appointed for every project.

Value Engineering

Our wealth of project-management and cost-management experience enables a standardized Value-Engineering methodology that maximises performance and minimises cost. We chair project-specific Value-Engineering workshops at critical stages to unlock savings for the Client.
